Made by a mum, for the wait
Hi, I'm Patti. I'm a mum of two girls, a big believer in preparing them mentally for life's big changes, and that's exactly how these paths were born.
During my maternity leave, my days were filled with nappies, cuddles, sleepless nights, and a growing desire to be fully present with my little ones. Around that time, I also started sharing our journey on Instagram, not because I had all the answers, but because I wanted to document the way I see motherhood and the way I see my daughters.
I often think about the adults they're becoming. The kind of women I'd hope to meet one day as strangers: kind, confident, curious, and deeply connected to themselves.
When I was pregnant with my second daughter, Simona, we decided not to find out the baby's sex.
While the surprise was exciting, it also meant there were many things we couldn't prepare for. So I focused on the things we could.
One of those things was helping my eldest daughter, Bruna, get ready to become a big sister. We talked often about the day Mum and Dad would go to the hospital and come back home with a new baby.
One day, Bruna asked me: 'Is that happening now?'
'No,' I said. 'In three months.'
But what does three months mean to a three-year-old?
That's when the idea came to me. I created a simple path with 60 steps. Every day, Bruna would add a sticker to a new step as she made her way toward meeting her baby sister.
Suddenly, time wasn't an abstract concept anymore. She could see it. Follow it. Celebrate it.
What started as a way to prepare one little girl for a big life change became something much bigger. These paths are designed to help children understand waiting, navigate change, and feel part of the journey. Whether they're counting down to a new sibling, a birthday, a holiday, a move, or any special milestone, the path gives meaning to the days in between.
Because sometimes the waiting feels just as important as the destination.
And every little step deserves to be celebrated.
